More Chantilly love

March is such a busy month for me! I have a scrapbooking crop or craft fair scheduled for every weekend.  (Check out my calendar at the top of my blog for more details!)  I am so excited to finally get a chance to post the second layout from my Chantilly scrapbook featuring photos from my childhood.  I have wanted to make this album for a long time and now I have the perfect paper and accessories to do so! I just LOVE this paper and accessories! If you like the fun colors and patterns to this collection and want to purchase some for your own layouts, please click here .

Here is a close-up of the dimensional elements and fabric buttons that accessorize this paper perfectly.  I also have used the antiqued gold collection (buttons and flourishes) and of course some sparkles.

Since Easter is right around the corner and I am collecting quite a few small scraps of Chantilly papers leftover from my layouts I have put them to good use in some Easter cards.  I am teaching these cards as free make 'n takes at my scrapbooking crops.  Everyone is in love with this paper and I get to show off our new marker sets as well.  I used them to color in a few areas of this cute (and unfortunately retired) Bunny Love stamp.  The inside of my card says "some bunny loves you."  I have a few more cards and layouts to show you but that will have to wait for another post.

Studio J Layouts in a Flash

We had a major blizzard here in Connecticut and have been shoveling ourselves out over the past couple of days.  My town was hit pretty hard with over 34 inches in most areas with drifts of 4ft or more!  Believe it or not, I was thrilled to be snowed in! This gave me some extra free time to create using Studio J, Close To My Heart's digital scrapbooking program.  It is so fun and easy and, best of all, there is no mess to clean up!  :)

Each layout is on sale druing the month of February for only $5.  The program is free to use, you only pay for each layout when you decide to print them. Check out Studio J on my CTMH site for more details on this offer.  In taking advantage of this fabulous deal (and because I took tons of awesome snow photos)  I have created three Blizzard layouts.

The following layouts I created in about a quarter of the amount of time it takes me to create a traditional page. Don't worry I am not a total digital scrapper from now on, I still prefer the traditional method best. However, in especially busy times and when I have LOTS of photos, Studio J is the answer to staying (or getting back) on target with my scrapbooks.  I hope you have been inspired to try it for yourself! Try Studio J click here!

Check back to my blog soon for my next traditional layout post featuring Chantilly and Later Sk8r and don't forget to friend me on Facebook to view my Studio J album and Stephanie Loves Scrapbooking page.

Happy Days Layout featuring Chantilly

I have been wanting to scrapbook some of my childhood photos for a long time and have not had the opportunity to do so. This year is that time. I have found the perfect paper packet- Chantilly!

I just LOVE the bright colors and happy patterns on this paper! The pretty dimensional elements and beautiful fabric covered buttons accessorize this paper perfectly.  When you know everything coordinates it makes your layouts come together in a flash.

The pattern I used in this layout was from one of our HOW-TO books titled Magic.  I used the Illusion pattern. Unfortunatley this book is no longer available in its hard cover form but we have three HOW-TO books that are available.  I hope that it will soon be available probably in soft cover form.  I just LOVE our HOW-TO books. Especially the new Make It From Your Heart.  It features 16 two-page layouts and 12 card patterns.  You get the cutting guides, lots of photos and detailed instructions.  The patterns show you what size to cut the papers and how to arrange them on your base paper for perfect balance and eye catching layouts. There is always plenty of room to be creative too with your choice of paper and accessesories.  I highly recommend this book!

Here are some close-ups of my layout for your viewing pleasure :)

Check back soon for more layouts with this paper packet and with the new boy-themed paper Later Sk8r

Bracket Frame Workshop

In my next featured worskshop we will use the My Creations Bracket Frame from Close To My Heart.

This workshop will run through the next few months with the designs changing and customizable.

There are so many options for these beautiful chipboard frames!

Here are a few samples starting with the Christmas designs I have created using the Pear and Partridge paper packet and dimensional elements.

These will make perfect Christmas gifts for my family this year!

As you can see, I popped up a cute 4x4 pic of my son with Santa Claus from this year.

You could easily fit an 8x8 size photo on the inside as well or even a couple of smaller wallet size pics and a few more embellishments too.

Here are two more designs that I have created to give as gifts this Christmas.

This next design is featured in the Close To My Heart Autumn Winter 2012 Idea Book.  It has a stamped family tree on the inset. The tree is intricately cut with the micro-tip scissors so that the leaves stick out and are very life-like.  I love how it accents the wall of photos showing family heritage.

I hope you will consider making one for your home decor or as the perfect gift this holiday season.  Contact me if you are interested.  There are only a couple of dates left for December.  Put your requests in now for the New Year!

Christmas Pear & Partridge Workshop

Sign up now! This workshop always fills up fast! The layout featured in this year's Christmas workshop uses one of the most beautiful CTMH Christmas paper packets of all time, Pear & Partridge.  I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this paper!!!  For just $30 your kit will contain the entire Pear & Partridge Level 2 Paper Packet (valued at $9.95), Pear & Partridge Velvet Rub-ons (valued at 4.95), Red and green sparkles and adhesive to complete the two 12x12 pages shown below.  You will also have access to my stamps, inks, tools and, best-of-all, ME :) leading you through every step of the way.  No guess work involved!  I will even cut the paper for you if this is your first workshop with me.  The cozy, quilted arrangement of the B&T papers reminds me of my favorite warm quilts that I love to take out in the winter. And, of course, I always think about hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies that my son and I set aside especially for that extra special guest :)

Bring at least four 4x6 photos with you to complete this layout at the workshop or you can wait and insert this year's holiday photos afterwards.  Make sure the photos are in the same direction as the ones shown below.  I will teach you the techniques of heat embosssing as well as layering the stamped images, rub-ons and sparkles to really make this layout shine!

After the workshop, you will have enough supplies in your kit to also complete a layout similar to the bonus layout shown below.

Plus, with a few additional supplies, you can also create these stunning holiday ornaments to use as tags on a gift or to adorn your own Christmas tree.   Contact me for more information on these Dimensional Element Ornaments.    The Red Glitz Glitter Gel is the best part of these, especially when the tree lights hit them! And what a cool project these would be for the kids to complete!

HO HO HO :)  I can hardly wait to get into the holiday spirit with you! Contact me today at stephanielovesscrapbooking@gmail.com to sign up for this workshop.  My November dates are almost full so don't delay!  December and January dates are filling now.

In my January workshop I will be featuring the My Creations Star.  For only $20 I will help you make a star you will want to display all year round.  Oh starry night this one's going to shine bright! Check back soon for a separate post on this class and lots of samples for you to choose from.

My Thanksgiving layout is also coming soon!  I am especially thankful this year that most of my friends and family are now with power, heat and hot water.  Thank you so much to all of the many workers that helped to make that possible.  To those still without power and whose lives have been affected by the storm, my prayers are with you.  May God bless you and continue to watch over us all.

Happy Crafting! :)

Upcoming Club and Holiday Workshop

Thank you to everyone that came out to support Stephanie Loves Scrapbooking yesterday at the Milford Oyster Festival! I had a great day and met lots of crafty people! :)  I am excited to share with you these new announcements:

I have some openings in my monthly scrapbooking club.  I am always looking for new club members.  Our club meets once or twice a month to work on various papercrafting projects. Some of the projects we create include scrapbook pages, cards, display albums, and boxes. We use the newest tools, papers and accessories from Close To My Heart.  At each club meeting I teach the members a new technique such as heat embossing, edge distressing, masking, and kissing (FYI- "kissing" is stamp technique BTW).  The next club meeting is in September and we will be working on Halloween themed layouts with spooky cool black embossing.

My next workshop will be in November in which we will be focusing on winter layouts. This workshop fills up fast so make sure to reserve your spot now.  We will be making a holiday themed memory showcase with beautiful snowflakes cut with the Cricut and rinestone brads for accents.  After the workshop all you will have to do is display your showcase for all of your family and friends to enjoy!

Please contact me soon via my new email address at stephanielovesscrapbooking@gmail.com if you are interested in attending my club or workshop.

Rhode Island Vacation Scrapbook using Studio J

I just got back from a mini vacation to Rhode Island. We visited both Narragansett and Block Island for a few days. The weather was a bit cold but the water was calm, the sights are always beautiful, the shopping is fun and the food was delicious! I created these five layouts in Studio J, our digital scrapbooking software. Each layout will be printed on 12 x 12 glossy paper.  All I need to do next is slide them into the sheet protectors of my summer scrapbook.  And voila! Now both my family and friends can enjoy sharing in all the fun we had.  If you would like me to scrapbook your last vacation just send me 20-25 of your most favorite pics and I'll do the rest!  I'll even put the album together for you! Contact me at s.m.brown@sbcglobal.net  I look forward to helping you preserve your vacation memories so that you and your loved ones can enjoy them all year round!
